Click the Import button and select the images or folder you want to import. EDA creates copies of the imported images, so your original files remain unchanged. You can then organize your imported images into groups if needed.
For more information, see the related video: Import Images & Create Groups.
EDA lets you organize your images into groups, making them easier to find while creating your layouts. To create a new group, select the images you want and drag them onto the New Group button. A new group will be created, and you can give it any name you wish.
The images are copied to the new group and remain available in All Images. This allows the same image to be included in more than one group.
To rename a group, double-click its tab and enter the new name. You can also right-click the group tab and select Rename.
To delete a group, right-click its tab and select Delete.
Yes. EDA recognizes color labels applied to your images in external applications and allows you to filter images by these labels in the Import Images panel.
EDA does not allow you to apply or change color labels within the software.
EDA provides basic image editing, including conversion to Grayscale.
For more advanced editing, you can open an image in an external editor such as Photoshop directly from EDA. Right-click an image and select Edit with..., then choose the application you want to use. After you save your changes in the external editor, the updated image will be reflected automatically in EDA. Your original image remains unchanged.
EDA includes a selection of ready-to-use backgrounds, and you can also use any image from your computer as a background. Open the Backgrounds panel and select the background you want to use, or choose your own image.
In EDA 4.0, you can flip a page Horizontally or Vertically using the corresponding buttons below each spread.
You can reorder pages using the arrow buttons below each spread or use the Spread Manager for more flexibility.
Spread names are assigned automatically, so there is no need to rename them manually.
To create high-resolution files suitable for printing, export your album from EDA. Click the Export icon in the top-right corner and select the export option you want.

Yes. You can change the album size at any time before exporting your pages. Open the Export form and enter the new size in the Size field. EDA will automatically update the other dimension according to the album's aspect ratio.
For example, a 70×35 cm album can be changed to 60×30 cm. The new size must maintain the same aspect ratio as the original album.
Yes. You can duplicate an album, including all its pages and contents, and optionally change its size during the process. This is especially useful for creating smaller parent albums while keeping your main album unchanged.
To duplicate an album, select it from the album list and click Duplicate the Selected Album. Enter a name and, if needed, change the size, then click Duplicate.
Select the two images you want to exchange, then press S on your keyboard. You can also use the Swap button in the top toolbar.
